Books
What is an ISBN number? The ISBN number is the reference number of a book. If you are looking for a particular book and know the ISBN, you can usefully enter the number in the search box (do not use any hyphens or spaces). You can also always write the book's author, subject or title in the search box.
"The book is sold out from the publisher": Can I buy the book at Academic Books at a later date? No, unfortunately not! The publisher has currently no plans to reprint the book but we might be able to help you to get the book in another edition.
When will the book I need be published? The date is visible on the information page of the book. Here you can see if the book you need is on the way or is already published.
Who should I complain to, if I get a damaged package? For packages shipped from Academic Books any claims must be made to Post Denmark. 1) If there are visible damages to the package, the recipient must immediately complain to Post Denmark. 2) In case of damage to the contents of a package,that is where the damage is not visible before opening the package, the claim should be made to Post Denmark within 7 days of the receipt. Which customer type am I? You are a student when you are enrolled as a student and pay for your own books. You are private customer if you do not study and pay your own books. You are business customer if your employer pays for your books or if you are procuring on behalf of your company. You are a teacher, if you teach at an educational institution or are procuring books on behalf of your educational institution.
I want to pay by giro. Why can I not do that? You cannot choose to pay by giro as a private client or student. If you represent a business, you can apply for a business account. Read more
What is STUDY PRICE? Study price is a special price on all syllabus books and is typically among the most inexpensive on the market for course books. When buying books marked with study price it is inexpensive, easy and convenient. As a student you can have complete confidence in:

- that the books will be ready for you in our shops at term start
- you can always look up your syllabus lists at academicbooks.dk and you can also find them in our shops. The lists are made in cooperation with your teachers
Charge
How do I pay if I choose to retrieve the goods in one of your stores? You pay for the goods when you collect them in the store. You can pay by credit card or in cash.
Is it safe to pay by credit card at academicbooks.dk? Yes, the credit card information is wired by the DIBC on a secure, encrypted connection and is not saved by Academic Books.
Security
Who will see my office information? Your office information is transmitted directly to DIBS. This means that neither the employees of Academic Books or other unauthorized persons have access to your office information.
Who will see my contact details? Your contact details will be treated confidentially by Academic Books, and no unauthorized persons have access to them.
How long does it take before I receive the books I have ordered at academicbooks.dk? You can see the expected delivery on your order confirmation. If you order multiple books with different delivery times, we send the books together. We send all orders as packets via Post Danmark. Once we have shipped the package, you will typically receive it the next working day.
Supply and delivery
"The delivery time is unknown": What does it mean? It is the publisher who writes that delivery time is unknown. This means that the book is sold out, but it is not certain whether or when the book will be reprinted. Please feel free to contact us for more details. click here
How much does the dispatch cost? If you choose to retrieve your goods in one of our shops, there are no fees but if we mail the books to you by Post Danmark there will be a dispatch fee which is relative to the weight of the books.
Do you send books abroad? Yes. You can see the current delivery prices at click here . If the order is sent to a country outside the EU (eg. Faroes, Greenland and Norway), the Danish VAT deducted automatically from before you implement the order. Notice that when sent abroad are credit card the only payment option. Contact Academic Books if you want your books delivered to a foreign country.
I cannot find my order? If you have not received an e-mail with you order confirmation within an hour, your order have probably not gone through. If you were logged in when you made the order, you can see how far your order is by clicking on "my orders" under "my profile".
Is my book in stock? To see in which store your book is stocked, please use the cursor to move over the text 'stocked' . I the white box it will say in which shop your book is in stock.
Hvem skal jeg reklamere til, hvis jeg får en beskadiget pakke? Ved pakker afsendt fra Academic Books gælder flg. reklamationsbetingelser. Al reklamation skal ske til Post Danmark. 1)Ved synlig beskadigelse af pakker skal modtageren omgående reklamere til Post Danmark. 2) Ved beskadigelse af indholdet i pakker, hvor beskadigelsen ikke er synlig før åbning af pakken, skal reklamation til Post Danmark ske inden 7 hverdage fra modtagelsen.
