Union Square

This is a story about greed, love and redemption. It is a story about GERALDO (GERRY) ECHEVARRIA, who lives in a cardboard shelter on the streets of San Francisco. When he was eleven, he left his Puerto Rican mother, who had been seduced and abandoned by the homeless drifter who left her pregnant. Gerry joined up with Old Washington, a black trumpet player, who raised the boy and taught him how to play the horn, pick pockets and survive on the streets. Gerry did survive, but now lives in hopeless resignation. GLORIA GABLE is a beautiful, successful attorney with an office near Union Square. Her lover, BRUCE HICKMAN, is a dishonest gubernatorial candidate who secretly runs a resort development company with criminal connections. An upcoming federal investigation threatens to ruin his political career, so Bruce has convinced a reluctant Gloria to secure a 'fall guy' to assume responsibility and take the blame.
